RIP Borealis

I thought I should explain to anyone who comes across this as to why I haven't updated this blog in QUITE sometime.
Besides the fact that I moved from home to go to school and no longer had access to Borealis, it is now closed.
Borealis was a coffee/deli/gift shop where I used to write "ponderings" when I was in high school, and some when I went to community college.
Then I moved.
Then downtown construction began and the family was losing business.
They have another location, but it's just not the same.
Hopefully they reopen.
But it's only suiting that since I would only write them there, that the Borealis Ponderings would stop.
Maybe I'll write more in the future as an ode to Borealis, maybe not.
Stay tuned.

Happiness - Part 4

Everyone, no matter who you are, deserves to be happy.

When there is a moment in your life that you're so happy you crould cry.

Remember it.

Keep it in the back of your mind.

Because when you find yourself sad...you wonder why you even try to make things work.

It's that time you were happy that matters.

It makes you realize you can be happy.

Good things do happen to you even when you feel you're at your lowest.

When you're sad, you can remember things can always get better.

They do.

They have before.

They will again.

You will find happiness again.

Just maybe...not right now.

Decisions - Part 5

There comes a time when decisions have to be made.

Sometimes the decision to be made is easy to go about.

Sometimes it is not.

Sometimes you've made up your mind on what to do, you just don't know how to go about it.

Sometimes the decision you've made was with your head.

It's the rational, and easy...it's the appropriate thing to do.

Sometimes what is rational, easy, and appropriate isn't always right.

It shouldn't be.

Any decision made with your head is completely wrong.

Follow your heart.

Your heart knows what is best.

It knows what you really want.

What you feel in your heart will always be the right decision.

So why am I so afraid of my decision's outcome?

Happiness - Part 3

Everyone, no matter who you are, deserves to be happy.

Sometimes you think that in order to be happy, you have to be in the right state of mind with yourself.

That you have to let yourself be happy by yourself.

That no one can make you happy.

But what if you're wrong?

What if there was someone who could make you happy?

They can make you happy no matter the day or time.

No matter your frustration.

No matter the fights you've been in earlier that day.

No matter how down and out you are.

They can make you smile with one, simple, awkward, cute look.

They can make you laugh without even trying.

They can make your whole day with one kiss on the cheek.

In order to be happy, sure you've got to try yourself.

But when you have someone in your life that can make you smile...

It makes happiness a whole lot easier to achieve.

Decisions: Life Lessons - Part 1

Simple mistakes and a good ass chewing can really make you think.

Does it take a lot of effort to get out of bed?

How much longer will you wait to give them a call?

Will it hurt your ego that much to ask questions?

How about admitting you're wrong?

The little decisions that we make can really affect what happens in the long run.

People - Part 1

There are some people in life that you like, that you don't like, that you can tolerate, and that you just can't stand.

For the people that you like, you love them.

You're nice to them.

They're nice to you.

Everything is peachy keen.

And then there are people that you like but find out they don't really like you.

These are people who are known as fake.

Foney.

Two-faced.

These are the people who act nice to your face but behind you back they are self-centered, cowardly bitches.

You think to yourself, why do you even bother?

Why do they care to be nice when they secretly despise you?

Why do I bother believing they're genuine?.

There are three things to know about people:

Everyone is fake.
Everyone is a liar.
No one is real.

We live in a plastic world.

Decisions - Part 4

There comes a time when decisions have to be made.

And then you find a crossroad.

You find a fork in the road.

It's two arrows leading you to different paths.

Do you take the short, narrow, dark path.

Or the much longer spacious sunlit trail?

Do you take a risk or the easy way out?

Do you take the struggle or do you do what comes naturally?

You must decide.

It's between something you ought to do...

Or something you don't want to do.

Take the dark trail and get it over with.
